Announcing BuddhaFest Online! Watch Talks, Films & Music

BuddhaFest is an annual celebration of Buddhist teachings, organized by Eric Forbes and inspired by his appreciation of Bernie Glassman, who he met at the symposium for Socially Engaged Buddhism in 2010. This year, the festival occurred in May. The opening evening was dedicated to Roshi Bernie Glassman’s life and legacy. It featured presentations by Roshis Egyoku Nakao, Enkyo O’Hara, Joan Halifax, and Fleet Maull, as well as Bernie’s photographer Peter Cunnigham, Bernie’s clown teacher Moshe Cohen, and myself. It was a moving and joyful evening. BuddhaFest has donated 50% of proceeds from its opening night to ZPI.

Furthermore, Eric and BuddhaFest have extended a generous offering to ZPI readers – a discount on the online pass to the festival’s recordings, including the video of the opening night dedicated to Bernie. A percentage of your purchase of a pass will directly benefit Zen Peacemakers International, as well as our partner BuddhaFest in its continuing efforts. Please consider supporting us in this way.

With gratitude,

Rami Efal, ZPI executive Director
