This is the story of a boy who was born in post-war Germany, when the Holocaust was not talked about in schools and families. Going as a young pacifist to volunteer in Israel preceded by a visit to Auschwitz, he did not know what shock awaited him. Years later, already as a priest, he returned to Auschwitz. And he has remained there to this day.

This is a story about Father Manfred Deselaers who does everything in his power to ensure that evil doesn’t have the last word. Even in a place as horrific as Auschwitz.
