The One World Bearing Witness 24-hour Vigil held on December 7th-8th has been completed! As our planet revolved minute-by-minute, hour-by-hour in the last 24-hours, it was joined by over two thousand registered participants from New Zealand, through Singapore, Burma, across Europe and the Americas.
They were guided by Spiritual teachers of diverse lineages on different continents, bearing witness to Belonging to Earth. Each meditation period began with the participants in the lead meditation room in Frankfurt reciting together the three tenets: Not Knowing, Bearing Witness and Taking Action.
Zen Peacemakers International would like to thank all those who made it possible, to its partner One World In Dialogue, the guide and the participants.
Below we share a handful of images captured from the international sangha that came together over the course of the 24-hour vigil to both engage in dialogue and sit in the vast humility of what it means to “Belong to Earth”. If you were unable to attend, or would like a recap on some of the discussions shared, please follow this link to the One World Bearing Witness Vigil page for an archive of the events recordings.
