Colombia-based Human Rights Group Dejusticia Organizes Global Workshop for Indigenous Leaders

BOGOTÁ, COLOMBIA.  The 1st Global Workshop for Indigenous leaders, a week-long event organized by Colombian international human rights advocacy group Dejusticia and by ZPI member Cesar Rodriguez, was held the week of December 11 in Bogotá, Colombia.  Representatives from indigenous communities in Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Nepal, Philippines, Cambodia, Uganda, Senegal, Cameron, Turtle Island (USA) and other countries around the world met to explore the common challenges and gifts indigenous cultures share around the globe. They were trained by prominent indigenous leader in international law, social and community, organizing. Several Zen Peacemakers leaders were in attendance and facilitated some of the activities.  A gallery of images from the workshop are shared below.
