As the new President and CEO of Greyston, which Bernie founded in 1982, Joe Kenner’s goal is to live out Greyston’s tagline, “We don’t hire people to bake brownies. We bake brownies to hire people.” Following Bernie Glassman’s vision, Joe firmly believes that business leaders need to refocus on how people are employed and where companies are looking for good talent. Millions of individuals, approximately 10 million nationwide, are finding it especially challenging to find employment due to one or more barriers to employment, i.e., child-care issues, homelessness, justice involvement.
