The Polish Sangha Kanzeon is led by Roshi Getsugen in Warsaw's Wilanów.
Twice a year we organize meditation retreats lasting several days outside Warsaw, called seshin, once a month - a four-day practice and twice a week - several hours long.
Kanzeon - the Japanese name of Avalokiteshvara, one of the most important Mahayana bodhisattvas.
"He who hears the sounds of the world" embodies unconditional compassion and therefore vowed that he would not attain ultimate enlightenment until he had freed all sentient beings from suffering.
