Contemplative Medicine
- Presenter: Koshin Paley Ellison, Chodo Robert Campbell
- Subject: Peacemaker Circle, Practice, Social Engagement
Over the past decade and a half of engagement in healthcare environments and intimate relationships, Koshin Paley Ellison and Chodo Robert Campbell have witnessed an acute need for an approach to care that extends to include caretakers (whoever self-identifies as such) themselves.
Too often, those in a care-taking role experience burn-out, a sense of isolation, and loss of meaning in their work and lives. Now more than ever, there is a critical need for deeper connections with loved ones in this time of the pandemic.
We are a worldwide movement of Peacemakers who practice meditation, embody the Three Tenets of the Zen Peacemakers (Not Knowing, Bearing Witness, Taking Action), live an ethical life, and do social action as a path of awakening and service. We seek to connect, inspire, support, train, and mobilize Zen Peacemakers throughout the world.
