Restorative Justice is an approach to criminal justice that embraces the oneness and interconnectedness of the community, the criminal justice system, and the individual. Through the provision of pre-trial services, restorative re-entry services, reparative panels, transitional housing, court diversion, and circles of Support and Accountability (COSA) criminal offenses are seen as acts that occur within a contextual field where law enforcement, community members, and the individual can work together, in partnership, to address the needs of all parties.
